ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) for the implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of project activities. Under the overall supervision of the Vice President, curriculum practices and impact. MEL Lead will be responsible for all aspects of monitoring and evaluation including gathering, analyzing, and reporting program results.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Manage and implement multi-year impact evaluation and other studies as part of the M&E KRA in liaison with the research partners, including setting up data flow system, coordinating data collection and reporting with the cooperation of product and operation teams-conducting data quality assurance, verifying supporting documents, consolidation of project indicators, drafting success stories.
  • Perform data analysis, research, indicator selection, sampling, developing and refining data collection tools. Develop reports, MEL plans, and research designs.
  • Facilitate knowledge management and communication- building and sharing lessons learned, good practices, and case studies. Contribute to the establishment of project knowledge management systems.
  • Collaborate with researchers to promote program results (observational methods) by using success stories, infographics, testimonials, etc.

Knowledge and Capacity Building:

  • M&E capacity-building activities- Train team & partners on new methods and tools; Build the team’s capacity on M&E concepts and frameworks.
  • Assist leadership in the preparation of M&E related workplan & budget.
  • Support field teams in developing program indicators and reporting templates, need assessments to identify gaps using survey questionnaires, focus group discussions, interviews, available secondary data, and baseline studies.
  • Monitor M&E activities, identify gaps and challenges and provide recommendations/suggestions on how to address the gaps/challenges. Ensure that Dost program documents, data, and results are organized efficiently.
  • Commitment to have frequent and regular field visits field for monitoring and evaluation activities including pilot tools and methods.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social science and humanities or related field from a recognized college or university; diploma or certification in MEL is an asset.
  • Prior exposure to research, M&E for primary education, Physical Education, teacher training, and early childhood learning is highly desirable.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proven ability to work with a recognized data analysis software.
  • Good computer skills, particularly with MS Office Package. Experience in working with databases or knowledge management platforms is an asset.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Technical competence and experience with mixed-method & qualitative research and ability to work with qual-quant data analysis software will be an advantage.
  • Experience in working with government agencies, intergovernmental agencies, academic universities, or NGOs.
  • Experience with designing and coding instruments using digital data collection platforms- survey CTO, Zoho forms, google forms, etc.
  • Proven effective communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and oral. This includes networking, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.
