**About the Position:**

 

**Salary Range:** Competitive salary commensurate with experience

 

**Duration:** Until September 2026

 

**Qualifications Required:** Advanced university degree in Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations from a reputed college (e.g., IIMC, SIMC, MICA, Amity School of Communication, Xavier Institute of Communication).

 

**Experience Required:** Five years of progressively responsible professional experience in communication, new media, and partnerships, particularly with government entities at the national and/or state level.  Demonstrated experience engaging and partnering with key stakeholders (government departments, local communities, academic institutions, and corporations).  Proven experience generating content (social media and websites) for development sector projects for government departments at the national and/or state level.

 

**Skills and Competencies:** Strong communication skills (including academic writing) and partnership skills.  Preference given to candidates comfortable writing in both Hindi and English.

 

 

**About the Role:**

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

**Partnership Management:**

 

* Support the strengthening of strategic partnerships with government departments, corporations, academic institutions, and local communities.

* Identify new partnership opportunities (especially with corporations) to support livelihoods planning for ultra-poor households.

* Create and implement partnership agreements, ensuring clear objectives and mutual benefits.

* Coordinate with implementation partners and internal project teams to align partnership activities with programmatic goals.

* Represent the organization at external meetings, forums, and conferences.

* Undertake field visits to document human-interest stories and best practices.

* Work with project staff and PCI state offices to ensure knowledge and information flow for donor reporting.

* Participate in organizational meetings/workshops and present project status/outcomes.

 

**Corporate Communication:**

 

* Develop and execute corporate communication strategies to engage corporations and donors.

* Create compelling content (presentations, newsletters, press releases, social media posts, website content) showcasing project achievements.

* Oversee filming, sound recording, and photography of human-interest stories.

* Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to align communications and partnerships with project objectives.

 

**About the Project:**

 

PCI India provides technical assistance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh for a technology-driven initiative focused on poverty alleviation, social protection, financial inclusion, and livelihoods planning.  This role requires close collaboration with senior government leaders, multiple welfare departments, implementation partners, academia, and corporations to ensure sustainable poverty alleviation for ultra-poor households.
