Job Description:        

We are currently looking for our lead for our Programme Coordination Unit (PCU). Responsibility will include anchoring the identification of significant changes (positive and negative; expected and unexpected) that are occurring through various programmes (in the form of data and information), develop indicators to evaluate and understand outcomes and impact being created by the organization. In addition develop strategies with the programme teams to adapt to new ways of data collection, assessment and knowledge building. In order to understand such deep and systemic changes, the professional will build a learning system that is based on the principles and techniques of monitoring, evaluation & learning systems for knowledge as development action based organisation.

The professional will also be responsible for feeding this into an ‘organisation’ level report card for an external audience. The expected outcome of the above would be to enable better strategic design of research & development programme and positioning.

For the above, The PCU lead will be responsible for the following specific work areas:

Learning and knowledge management

1. Define the management strategy for the knowledge base and maintain high quality, up-to-date content based on internal learning (through management notes, dashboards, management meetings such as management coordination and Saturday staff meetings and high level programmatic reviews) and external knowledge through research

2. Design the Dashboard with algorithms for cross sectional data collection and analysis from the 6 thematic areas, task forces and sectors

3. Build a digital back learning system that integrates internal processes that enables almost real time learning and practice through specialist tools

Substantive coordination

1. Build a framework to document processes, consolidate best practices and develop program narratives through an iterative process

2. Track progress and give feedback to programme teams to improve programmatic level knowledge and indicators and quality checks on third party evaluation of any programmes

3. Be responsible for creating organization level tools for research, learning and knowledge building such as for secondary and field research and building capacities on new digital delivery methods

Knowledge transference and communication

1. Package the processes, knowledge and learning in forms of process manuals, toolkits, technical reports and narratives for external transference

2. Help in Influencing knowledge at the national and global scale, by developing perspective papers, articles, monographs, reports, workshops, and webinars backed by data
