Summary of Role

The Manager Programs (Livelihood) is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs designed to support and enhance the livelihoods of individuals and communities at national level. This role is focuses on initiatives aimed at promoting economic sustainability, trainings, job creation, placements and community development. This position will be involved in technical and managerial leadership to project on and is accountable for all programmatic, management and coordination aspects of livelihood and economic recovery. This role required effective management and relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle including support to team in budgetary planning & financial management, developing high quality program plans and donor management etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement the livelihood program at national level that align with organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and market analysis to identify opportunities and challenges in the target communities.
  • Capacity building in terms of donor management, achieving placements, quality delivery and trainings.
  • Collobaration with various stakeholders including external agencies, donors, government bodies, communities etc.
  • Manage program budgets and financial resources effectively.
  • Collect and analyze data to track the progress and make data driven decisions.
  • Establishment of industrial collaboration to understand their human resource/manpower needs.
  • Collobration with various corporates/employers to place the program beneficiaries to achieve the target as per donor deliverables.
  • Sharing of regular reports to concerned stakeholders (Donor and Senior Management) to communicate program achievements, challenges and financial status.
  • Engage with program beneficiaries and local communities to ensure their active participation and ownership of livelihood activities.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges to program implementation and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support livelihood development in the target communities.
  • Network with other organizations and professional in the field to stay informed about best practices and opportunity for collaboration.
  • Ensure that all program activities are conducted in an ethical and transparent manner, respecting the rights and dignity of beneficiaries.

Qualification and Experience

  • Should have a Master’s Degree in Social work or Sociology.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Urban livelihood sector and programs especially on employability, entrepreneurship programs and market-based solutions.
  • Solid understanding and experience in terms of delivery through digital platforms as well as technology based monitoring.
  • Experience on identification of skilling needs for youth of unorganized communities with various methodologies for livelihood programs.
