Sambodhi Research and Communication Pvt. Ltd is looking for an innovative individual with a demonstrated track record of working collaboratively in capacity building programs in the development/social science sector. The role requires prior exposure to capacity development in monitoring and evaluation or development. Candidates should be able to successfully demonstrate strong client engagement skills, and effectiveness in working with a variety of stakeholders including government functionaries, national and international academia, and consultants from multiple practices. Prior experience in successfully leading, designing, and executing large-scale capacity building development projects will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will perform the following key functions:

  • Conceptualize, design, and deploy cutting-edge capacity development curriculums on monitoring, learning, and evaluation; data analysis for different stakeholders including government functionaries, civil society practitioners, and young and emerging development professionals.
  • Develop high-quality, compliant proposals.
  • Conceptualize and implement marketing/business strategy. This includes developing opportunities with new and existing clients, tracking upcoming RFPs, leading proposal development teams, networking, etc.
  • Make and deliver presentations of reports/proposals to clients/potential clients.
  • Liaison with partner organizations, consultants, vendors, and other relevant agencies.
  • Develop the capacity and technical expertise of project staff in the field and headquarters to undertake sound Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research activities and to use data and findings for effective decision-making.
  • Brainstorming and coordinating with the internal team and the project leads on capacity development projects and activities while actively advocating for Sambodhi’s leadership, role, and capabilities as a primary partner for the donors.
  • Building relationships and finding synergies with other external partners (like the WFP, JPAL, UNICEF, BMGF, Ford Foundation, etc.) for capacity building.
  • Leading the report writing and dissemination of the report on M&E Capacities.

Education:

  • Postgraduate degree in relevant social sciences field from Premier Universities

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of work experience in capacity development/research and M&E along with experience in project management of large-scale multi-partner projects.
  • Proficient in research and evaluation designs and methodologies.

Personal Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Research, Evaluation, Data Analysis, and related aspects
  • The role requires prior exposure to and experience in working on capacity development in monitoring and evaluation or development research
  • Ability to lead, plan, and manage a complex set of activities
  • Ability to operate effectively in teams
  • Prior experience working with governments and/or civil societies and/or university systems will be an added advantage
  • Candidates should be able to successfully demonstrate strong client engagement skills, and effectiveness in working with a variety of stakeholders including government functionaries, national and international academia, and consultants from multiple practices
  • Prior experience in successfully leading, designing, and executing large-scale capacity building development projects will be preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively
