Project Chhalaang, an initiative by ELMS Sports Foundation is seeking candidates for the position of Manager: State Program to work on setting up and building a state transformation program through the flagship initiative in the 5 Aspirational Districts of the state. Along with the demonstration program in the districts, the person will be responsible for state advocacy and other program partnerships in the state. The person will be reporting to the Vice President of the Physical Literacy Vertical.

(With a requirement to travel to other project locations as and when required)

Roles and Responsibilities:

A. State Program:

  • Coordinating and conducting training workshops for teachers and other education officials in the domain of Physical Education across the state.
  • Developing and managing partnerships with the State Education departments, and partner organization teams.
  • Setting up systems and structures across the state to ensure smooth functioning of the training and follow up with the teachers.
  • Communication and coordination with all the stakeholders, including writing and publishing periodic progress reports.

B. Aspirational Districts Initiative:

  • Managing Aspirational Districts Program in 5 districts in the state.
  • Coordinating with the Aspirational Districts Collaborative (ADC) team members from the respective districts, the implementing partner NGOs in the districts, and the district administration.
  • Communication and coordination with all the stakeholders, including writing and publishing periodic progress reports.
  • Aligning the State program and Aspirational Districts program objectives with each other and building the narrative around a comprehensive state transformation model.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in program implementation and management, government partnerships.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably Education and/or fellowship in the education development domain.
  • Experience in the education and Sports for Development domain will be preferred.
  • Experience playing team sports at a competitive level or sports coaching would be preferred.
  • Proven communication skills in Hindi and English both written and oral will be preferred. Any other language proficiency will be an advantage.

Proposed compensation range:

INR 7,00,000 to 8,00,000 per annum depending on the experience and expertise of the candidate.
