Location of Posting: Gopalpur, Odisha

Employment Type: Fixed-term contract (Renewal on a yearly basis)

Purpose of the Role: Promote conservation of the species in their natural habitat and provide sustainable livelihood which is in harmony with the conservation of species with ecological significance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Responsible for the protection of species and habitat improvement.
  • Project planning, managing budget, developing and managing resources, and working closely with the concerned stakeholders.
  • Anchor the drone and underwater survey for the marine turtles.
  • Measure the results of the launched initiatives and drive improvements through scalable and efficient processes.
  • Collaborate and network with the concerned local and Government authorities and ensure that the projects are in sync with the larger policy framework to leverage their support.
  • Facilitate research and development on the conservation of flora and fauna of the region to maintain the ecosystem.
  • Facilitate eco-tourism in the region.
  • Monitoring of project budget, maintaining data and reports, preparing materials and publications, and maintaining communication with the target groups.

Minimum Qualification: Master’s in Wildlife Science/ Forestry /Marine Science or equivalent. Candidates with additional qualifications related to wildlife science shall be given due weightage.

Minimum No. of years of experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Fluency in verbal and written Odiya & and English is a must.
