CSRBOX is a social impact strategy practice and implementation organisation. We work with companies and philanthropic organisations for better CSR programme design, pre-project to post-project handholding and impact assessment, and embedding technology solutions for responding to problems at a scale. About the Project
This large-scale river basin conservation project in Maharashtra is spearheaded by CSRBOX, a leading corporate social responsibility (CSR) Practice organization in India. The project aims to drive a collaborative platform and program to address the critical challenges of river basin health and promote sustainable water management practices.
Position Overview
Based in Mumbai, CSRBOX is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Mission Lead to spearhead our collaborative initiative focused on the sustainable management of a specific river basin in India. This critical role demands exceptional leadership and collaboration skills to foster partnerships between businesses, government agencies, and civil society organizations (CSOs). You will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of a comprehensive action plan for the river basin, utilizing nature-based solutions (NBS) to achieve long-term sustainability.
Roles & Responsibilities
● Strategic Leadership:
- Develop a comprehensive vision and mission for the River Basin Conservation Collaborative.
- Lead the initiative’s strategic planning process, setting clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for success.
- Oversee the development and implementation of an action plan for the river basin, incorporating NBS approaches.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify priority areas for intervention within the river basin.
● Collaboration and Partnership Building:
- Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, government agencies, CSOs, and communities residing in the river basin.
- Facilitate collaborative dialogues and workshops to foster consensus and joint action among stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a framework for collaborative decision-making within the initiative.
- Secure financial resources and partnerships to support the initiative’s long-term sustainability.
● Project Management:
- Lead and oversee the implementation of various projects within the Collaborative, ensuring efficient execution and timely completion.
- Manage and monitor project budgets and resources effectively.
- Develop and implement a strong communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed of progress and achievements.
- Track and measure the impact of the Collaborative’s work towards achieving the defined goals and objectives.
● Advocacy and Awareness:
- Advocate for the importance of river basin conservation and nature-based solutions amongst stakeholders and the public.
- Develop and disseminate educational materials and resources on river basin sustainability and NBS approaches.
- Represent the Collaborative at relevant forums and conferences to raise awareness and garner support.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience
- 8+ years of experience (Post Masters’ Degree) in environmental conservation, natural resource management, or impact sector or in a social enterprise or sustainability and partnerships portfolio handling
- Master’s Degree in Management, Sustainability or Social Impact Domains
- Proven track record of leading and managing collaborative initiatives involving multiple stakeholders; specifically, high profile government relationship and businesses
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience in project management methodologies and excellent organizational skills.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to achieving positive environmental impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in Hindi and Marathi a plus.
