**Job Title:** National Programme Manager

**Job Description:**
The National Programme Manager will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of various projects under the Sustainable and Inclusive Growth portfolio. This involves close collaboration with project teams and other program portfolios to ensure a harmonized UNDP program. Key responsibilities include:
* **Project Management:** Effective planning, development, and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to UNDP policies, UN rules, and donor requirements. This includes progress monitoring, financial management, and addressing operational and financial problems. Utilizing Result Based Management (RBM) tools and gender-disaggregated impact monitoring is crucial.
* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Liaising with government, private sector, and other partners to facilitate project implementation and strengthen relationships. This includes acting as a project supervisor, setting goals, conducting reviews, and participating in recruitment processes.
* **Resource Mobilization:** Conducting research and analysis of the socio-political-economic environment to identify funding opportunities and develop project proposals. Collaborating with the partnerships team, other UNDP units, and UN agencies to secure funding.
* **Knowledge Management:** Preparing reports on program activities and outcomes, communicating best practices, and contributing to knowledge networks. Overseeing quality assurance of all communications and knowledge products. Representing UNDP in relevant meetings and fora.
* **Team Supervision:** Supporting project teams in report preparation and implementation, coordinating events, and identifying capacity development needs.
**Experience Required:**
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (post Master’s degree) OR 7 years (post Bachelor’s degree) in program/project management within international development organizations, bilateral agencies, or international NGOs.
* Proven experience in effective multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team work.
* Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of the project cycle (design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation).
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Experience working with UNDP or another UN agency is highly desirable.
**Education Required:**
* Master’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related field; OR
* Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
**Required Languages:**
Fluency in English and Hindi is essential.
**Contract Duration:** 1 year with possibility of extension.
