Detailed Job Description
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom, demonstration and practical sessions for the caregiving and rehabilitation therapy courses.
- Prepare and deliver lectures to the students on topics related to caregiving and rehabilitation practices.
- Prepare course materials such as course plan, care plan, syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts for the learners.
- Supervise students’ community, field and clinical placements
- Evaluate and grade students’ community, field and clinical placements, assignments, and papers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address, administrative, management and teaching requirements of the organisation.
- Plan, evaluate, and enrich curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
- Assess clinical education needs, and patient and client teaching needs, utilizing a variety of methods.
- Address students on academic and vocational curricula, and career issues.
- Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
- Assist the team to supervise undergraduate and/or graduate teaching, internship, and research work of IDRR.
- Participate in and actively engage in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
- Serve on academic or administrative activities that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
- Coordinate the training programs with clinics, hospitals, health agencies, disability institutions and/or vocational schools.
- Compile specialized training related materials and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
- Participate and prepare the students for participating in organizational and academic-related events.
- Assist the team in writing course related grant proposals to procure external research funding.
- Demonstrate beneficiary care in clinical units in APD.
- Perform administrative duties such as serving as department head.
- Provide nursing-related professional consultation and services to APD beneficiaries or inter-unit departments as per the organizational requirement.
