About NavGurukul
We (navgurukul.org) are a Section-8 company, and run a one-year residential course for students from underrepresented communities to learn Software Engineering – get jobs (vocation!) and work towards the betterment of the surrounding communities (this is what we need, really – more problem solvers!). We have launched an online course and currently working with 2200+ learners. We have a capacity of 600 students in our residential centres (2 in Bangalore, 1 in Pune, 1 in Dharamshala), and are in process of adding another 600 seats through four different states by March 2022.
Our campuses are completely self-governed spaces that are totally managed by the students. Cooking food, making products from locally grown bamboo, and learning to code. The students at NavGurukul lead everything on their own.
What we’re looking for
Looking for a passionate hustler with a lot or no experience in People & Culture
- who can manage the Placement processes for our ever growing student pool.
- is interested in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organisation vision.
- who can set up processes and systems for workforce management
Qualification & Skills
- Any background, with a deep sense of priority in student placements
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support Placements of Navgurukul students
- Update current and design new recruiting procedures (e.g. student resumes, job ready interviews structure, etc)
- Work with each campus team to get job ready students to face companies
- Engage with recruiting companies to support student placements
- Maintain and develop good relationships with partner companies
- Design and deploy HR management processes (eg. HRMS portal, PF, Insurance, reimbursement process, appraisal etc.)
