  • Implementing catalytic lighthouse programmes to plug gaps

Since our inception, a little over two years ago, our accomplishments include our inclusion approach being showcased to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, active engagement with 5 ministries across 13 government departments and 5 States & UTs, building capacities of 55,000+ stakeholders, supporting 50 organizations to adopt a dyslexic lens, and implementing lighthouse programs for early detection, model inclusive districts, exemplar educational institutions, and an #Inclusion4Innovation entrepreneurship initiative. Our #Speak4Dyslexia campaign has been widely adopted by government and industry, with an organic reach exceeding 250 million.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Program Manager/Senior Program Manager to lead our Flagship Programs & Strategic Initiatives Team. The successful candidate will oversee the designing, planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of our organization’s transformative lighthouse programs at the central and state levels. Some of the ongoing programmes include early detection of at-risk children, model inclusive districts, exemplar educational institutions (school and higher education), and an #Inclusion4Innovation entrepreneurship initiative.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership:Provide strategic leadership in the planning, development, and execution of flagship programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Align programs with organizational goals and ensure they contribute to the overall mission and vision.
  • Team Management:Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and a culture of excellence.
  • Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and empower team members to achieve program objectives.
  • Strategic Planning and Design:Collaborate with stakeholders to contribute to the conceptualization and design of transformative lighthouse programs.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Implementation Oversight:Take ownership of the day-to-day execution of flagship programs, ensuring milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor program progress, identify challenges, and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:Establish and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess program impact.
  • Conduct regular assessments, analyze data, and adjust strategies based on evaluation findings.
  • Reporting and Communication:Prepare and present comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting program achievements, challenges, and impact.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and partners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, funders, and community members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation.
  • Fundraising:Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support for flagship programs.
  • Engage with donors, sponsors, and funding agencies to cultivate partnerships and secure resources.
  • Budget Management:Oversee the budgeting process for flagship programs, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Problem-Solving:Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles encountered during program implementation.
  • Proactively identify and implement effective solutions to ensure the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across programs.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in program management.
  • Risk Management:Identify potential risks associated with program implementation and fundraising activities.
  • Develop proactive risk mitigation strategies and address unforeseen challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of proven experience in successful program management and project execution, especially in government programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, strategic planning and timely delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Compensation

Remuneration will be competitive with the development sector’s pay scales and will depend upon the candidates qualifications and experience.
