**Job Title:** Policy Manager – Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY)

**About the Company:**
The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center dedicated to reducing poverty by ensuring that policy decisions are informed by scientific evidence. With over 1,000 researchers worldwide, J-PAL conducts randomized impact evaluations to address critical questions in the fight against poverty.
J-PAL South Asia, based at the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) in India, focuses on analyzing and disseminating research results while building partnerships with policymakers to scale effective programs. The organization supports initiatives like the Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY), a multi-layered livelihoods program targeting ultra-poor households in Bihar.
**Experience Required:**
– Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in public policy, development research, or related fields.
– Strong understanding of MIS systems and familiarity with RCTs.
– Proven ability to manage high-level relationships with government stakeholders and partner organizations.
– Demonstrated skills in process evaluation assessments and knowledge product development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Oversee the achievement of programmatic policy deliverables for the SJY project.
2. Develop and implement a knowledge management strategy for SJY.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to produce high-quality knowledge products and documentation.
4. Strengthen data-based decision-making by working closely with the SJY Data unit.
5. Represent J-PAL in external meetings and contribute to scaling the Graduation Approach.
6. Ensure compliance with J-PAL protocols and policies.
