**Job Description: Policy Manager – Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY) – J-PAL South Asia**

**Position:** Policy Manager  

**Location:** Patna, Bihar, India  

**Start Date:** April 1, 2025  

**Duration:** 2 years (renewable based on performance and requirements)

**Education Requirement:** Master’s Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.

**Experience Required:** Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Oversee and drive the achievement of programmatic policy deliverables.

– Define and implement a knowledge management strategy for SJY.

– Ideate, develop, and produce high-quality knowledge products in collaboration with partners.

– Collaborate closely with the SJY Program Director and PMU staff on documentation and dissemination of learnings.

– Strengthen data-based decision-making by co-developing reports, visualizations, and best practices for MIS.

– Provide inputs to J-PAL’s strategy for scaling the Graduation Approach and participate in external meetings.

– Ensure compliance with J-PAL protocols and policies.

**Desired Qualifications:**

– Master’s degree in relevant fields.

– Experience in process evaluation assessments.

– Understanding of MIS systems and familiarity with RCTs.

– Excellent organizational, management, and problem-solving skills.

– Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work as a team player.

– Demonstrated ability to handle high-level relationships with partner organizations.

– Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
