About the Role:

Quest Experience Lab (QEL) is a multidisciplinary product team at Quest Alliance, that works at the intersection of research, design and technology for learning. It creates cutting edge learning solutions that are enabled by technology, for the education and employability sector. As a team, QEL is continuously working on new innovations using emerging tech in combination with design thinking, to make our products thoughtful, smart and engaging for the users.

QuestApp is our flagship product, and is a digital learning platform developed for students and facilitators to learn 21st Century skills anytime, anywhere contributing to their personal and professional growth. Quest App is built using gamification principles, and is available as an online/offline webapp as well as a mobile app. 

The role of a Product Operations Manager for Quest App is to ensure that the app usage is of the highest quality possible, and that it provides a positive and effective learning experience for its users. You must be passionate about the app, and able to communicate its value and benefits to a wide range of audiences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: You must have a deep understanding of the app’s features, benefits, and value proposition, and how it can help users achieve their goals. You must also keep up-to-date with the latest development and be aware of the roadmap.
  • Quality Standards: You will need to ensure that the app meets the quality standards that are expected of it.  You will be responsible for creating the strategy required to ensure quality and delivery
  • Communication: You will need to work closely with the development team to communicate any issues or bugs that you find, as well as any suggestions for improvements or new features. You will also need to communicate with other stakeholders, such as program managers or user experience designers, to ensure that everyone is aware of any issues or changes to the app.
  • Operational Excellence: You will work closely with the program teams to make sure that the app is being used correctly. You would play a monitoring and consulting role while the actual operationalising will be the responsibility of the tech coordination group.
  • App Usage Monitoring: you will work with the program teams to understand the outreach plans and co-relate that back to actual app usage. This is also needed for managing hardware resources
  • Testing: You will be responsible for testing the app thoroughly to identify any bugs or issues that may affect its performance or functionality. This includes testing the app on different devices and operating systems, as well as in different usage scenarios to ensure that it works well for all users.
  • Documentation: You will need to document any issues or bugs that you find during testing, including detailed descriptions of how to replicate them. You may also be responsible for documenting any changes or updates to the app, as well as any testing procedures that you use.
  • Analysis: Regularly Monitor the Learning and User Experience on the App using Google Analytics, Existing Dashboards and User Research and cross-checking with Facilitators, learners and program team members. Recommend and incorporate such updates, edits, changes and feature-functionality changes as may be needed to improve these.
  • Advocacy: Be the advocate and conscience keeper for the App who ensures that any process, technical , or feature functionality related changes  on the App – irrespective of source of origin,  keep the learner and learning experience at the centre and do not fall prey to expediencies

  • Should be comfortable with handling data and deriving insights and actionables
  • Should have strong interpersonal skills
  • Should have facilitation skills
  • Should exhibit an understanding of learners and learning experience
  • Experience and background in the social sector is an advantage
