Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.

Project Brief:

The Training Division at PHFI, is involved in building capacity of healthcare professionals in various disciplines, both in India and abroad, by way of contact based courses, online courses and workshops. There are more than 30 capacity building courses / workshops being conducted with the objective of upgrading skills, knowledge and core competencies of healthcare professionals. The Capacity Building Courses are being conducted in over 600 centres across 121 cities in 28 states and UTs. Till date, a network of over 35,000 healthcare professionals have been trained with a completion rate of over 90%. Training Division is also working with 12 State Governments who have adopted these initiatives for training of their medical officers and Healthcare professionals.

CCIGC is a 6 modular online certification program designed, implemented and delivered by Public Health Foundation of India in collaboration with five eminent experts in the field of Geriatric Medicine. The fundamental objective of the course is to enhance the skills of Primary Care Physicians in Geriatric Care and to develop the network among the specialists.  Salient Features of this program is:  6 Sessions (120 Minutes each session with Q&A) – weekly program on six Sunday’s | Live Interactive Online Webinar Sessions | Evidence Based Curriculum, workshops and integrated case studies | Renowned Experts.

Deliverables:

The candidate will be responsible for a variety of programme management activities and assist the team in all the components of the program conducted in the framework of interdisciplinary multi-partner collaborations across the state and reports to Deputy Project Director/ Program Manager.

  • Program coordination and all activities related to management of the project stakeholders.
  • Management and coordination of all components of the training program.
  • Serve as associate focal point for the program secretariat for communication with the Experts, Faculty, and Participants.
  • Play an integral Role in organizing and managing Expert Meetings; this involves human resource and logistical issues.
  • Support overall operations related to implementation of the program (i.e. invitations, enrolments, meetings and workshops, documentation, etc.).
  • Prepare and disseminate an advanced program implementation plan including critical key activities and milestones, time lines, resources requirement and utilization plan for key components, structure/mechanism to identify bottlenecks, develop algorithms to keep track of process and progress of program.
  • Prepare and disseminate in-advance micro-plans for faculties and participants for perfect conduct of training sessions with seamless networking for real time coordination and communication between partners.
  • Coordinating with the experts, faculty, and trainees to ensure that critical issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and conduct monitoring and feedback activities for quality assurance.
  • Attend and participate in stakeholders meetings, and other meetings as needed.
  • Report on a day-to-day basis to the Program Manager regarding project and seek timely advice wherever necessary.
  • Contribute to writing documentation papers and reports.
  • Communication for program secretariat to communicate with renowned Experts and Faculty.
  • Coordinating with the partners, sponsors, faculty and trainees to ensure that critical issues are addressed in a timely manner – Attend and participate in stakeholders meetings, and other meetings as needed.
  • Draft/ Prepare program progress reports, as well as any other regular reports as per the requirement of the program or as designated by Deputy Project Director /Program Manager.
  • Writing documentation papers and scientific reports.
  • Writing proposal and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with key stakeholders and other key agencies and donors as required. – Coordinates and prepare for meetings and special events by assisting the team members
  • Coordinate with various vendors for various program activities.
  • Carry out above-mentioned activities to implement the programme as required.
  • Make participants Information Data Entry.
  • Manage documentation of all the records related to all the stakeholders and support in dispatch process.
  • Travel as and when required.
  • Any other task as assigned by the Deputy Project Director, Project Manager & Project PI.

Qualification:

Desirable:

  • Medical graduate/BDS/AYUSH/BSC from recognized university with Post Graduation degree/diploma in public health.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and coordination skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with willingness to travel at a short notice and work for extended hours and on weekends to conduct different trainings.
  • Any combination of training and or experience which demonstrate ability to perform these duties is also desirable.
