Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) is a TCF initiative that aims to improve the effectiveness of Indian state governments in delivering better development outcomes. CEGIS works with state governments across India to enable transformative improvements in their functioning, focusing on areas like outcome measurement, personnel management, strategic public finance, and the interface of states and markets.

**Position Name:** Program Associate
**Experience Required:** 1 to 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or equivalent preferred) in economics, public policy, social science or related fields from a reputed institution.
**Responsibilities:**
As a Program Associate (PA) at CEGIS, you will play a key role in various projects across their entire lifecycle, contributing to the analytical aspects of the projects and ensuring effective governance and public expenditure reforms. Your responsibilities will include:
* **Data Collection, Review, and Analysis:** Tracking data from different sources for accuracy and analyzing complex datasets to extract important insights.
* **Data Management, Quality, and Security:** Prioritizing and addressing data issues promptly and ensuring data management, quality, and security standards are maintained.
* **Research, Diagnosis, Solutioning, and Reporting:** Independently conducting research and root cause analysis, documenting and presenting insights for effective problem-solving, collaborating with vertical teams to lead co-creation efforts for project-specific solutions.
* **Analysis and Insights:** Producing comprehensive presentations and documentation for critical project insights, assisting in gathering information for stakeholder communication, summarizing and documenting project progress for internal and external audiences.
* **Project Management and Project Deliverables:** Regularly updating internal and external stakeholders on project progress, collaborating with project delivery teams and stakeholders to align data diagnostics and analysis plans with project objectives, ensuring all project activities are strategically directed towards the achievement of overarching goals, developing and delivering high-quality project outputs.
* **Stakeholder Mapping, Engagement and Communication:** Mapping relevant external stakeholders, conducting regular stakeholder analysis, coordinating with stakeholders to plan meetings for both communicating project progress and decisions, synthesizing project information into documents, presentations, and dashboards, cultivating and strengthening stakeholder relationships.
* **Documentation and Knowledge Creation & Facilitation:** Supporting knowledge management processes to achieve project and organisational objectives, conducting literature reviews, preparing project collaterals, and managing files for efficient retrieval.
**Qualifications:**
* 1 to 3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or equivalent preferred) in economics, public policy, social science or related fields from a reputed institution.
* Proven experience in project management and analytical contributions.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
* Experience in client servicing/government projects would be preferred.
