**Job Description: Program Associate – Citizen-Centric Public Services**  

*Location:* Bangalore, India  

 

**Experience Required:** Minimum 1–3 years of experience in program management, governance, public services, research, or technology-driven impact programs (non-profit experience preferred).

eGovernments Foundation is a philanthropic organization established in 2003 by Nandan Nilekani and Srikanth Nadhamuni. The foundation aims to improve the ease of living for citizens through digital transformation in urban governance, health, sanitation, and public finance management.  

 

The core offering, DIGIT (Digital Infrastructure for Governance, Impact, and Transformation), is an open-source platform that provides solutions for citizens, first-mile employees, administrators, commercial players, and policymakers. It enables states, cities, and commercial partners to create tailored solutions and innovate for their contexts. Over the past 20 years, eGov has impacted over 16 crore citizens across India through partnerships with more than 2600 towns and cities in 16 states.  

 

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

– Track progress against the annual operating plan, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.  

– Set up regular governance cadences to monitor program execution.  

– Support leadership and account teams in preparing for partner engagements, including drafting background memos, presentations, and meeting materials.  

– Organize and manage workshops, webinars, and hackathons for partner training and enablement.  

– Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications and Academy teams to enhance visibility through newsletters, blogs, and social media.  

– Work with the DIGIT Success Team and local country partners to ensure smooth program implementation and operations.  

– Support the development of theories of change and hypotheses for Citizen-Centric Public Services.  

– Conduct research on user and partner needs to inform product development and policy decisions.  

– Define key indicators for monitoring system adoption and program impact.  

– Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.  

– Assist external evaluators with program insights and research strategies.  

 

 

**Qualifications:**  

– Bachelor’s degree in Development Management, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.  

– Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Suite, or data visualization tools.  

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear reports, memos, and presentations.  

– Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.  

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with open-source platforms or digital governance tools is a plus.
