## Job Title: Program Associate – Early Childhood Friendly Cities

**Job Location:** Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India
**Experience Required:**
* 2 to 4 years of experience in relevant field (urban design, urban planning) with responsibility for deliverables related to street and public space design.
* Experience working with government partners or programs is preferred.
**Job Description:**
As a Program Associate, you will play a key role in supporting Indian cities to enhance public spaces, transport, and streets as part of the Nurturing Neighborhoods Challenge. You will report to the Program Manager and support close engagement with the city of Jabalpur.
Your responsibilities will include:
* **Program Development and Coordination:**
* Daily engagement with City Government and partners to coordinate project activities.
* Coordination of technical documents including data collection, surveys, analysis, base maps, design drawings, 3D visualizations, reports, presentations, and infographics.
* Leading focused group discussions with Local Government agencies, community groups, NGOs, experts, and private agencies.
* Organizing capacity building sessions for city officials, service providers, and community groups.
* Supporting other research or projects related to urban development.
* **Communications and Partnerships:**
* Scheduling project meetings, making presentations, and conducting partner consultations and workshops.
* Communicating with WRI India internal team members for progress reporting.
* Preparing internal and external communications and media materials (brochures, web content).
* **Research:**
* Focusing on early childhood development, vulnerable groups, gender, and poverty.
* Supporting the development of knowledge products such as training modules, toolkits, guidebooks, and capacity building modules.
**Key Skills and Qualifications:**
* Post-graduation in Urban Design or Urban Planning.
* Passion for enhancing the quality of life for children in Indian cities.
* Understanding of public spaces and transport, sustainable development principles, public policies, environment, and climate change.
* Strong design skills, understanding of landscaping, construction materials, specifications, and procurement processes.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe software, 3D visualization, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Working knowledge of GIS is preferred.
* Strong drawing and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Fluency in Hindi is preferred.
**Salary and Benefits:**
INR 8,00,000 to INR 9,00,000 CTC (Commensurate with experience and skills). WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
**Duration:**
1 year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements).
