Job Description
The Associate will lead training programs while supporting efficient and smooth functioning of all environmental education initiatives nationally including Eco-Champs (School-based Program), Eco-friendly School Awards & Eco-Fest.
Primary Responsibilities of Program Associate:
- Lead and support the training of volunteers and teachers to take the program to more children globally
- Oversee day-to-day operations including project delivery, logistics & reporting of the training program
- Support eco-champs project operations and delivery including outreach and volunteer management
- Collaborating with corporates, colleges, schools, and other organizations to identify, manage and execute various volunteering opportunities for the Environment.
Requirements
Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:
- At least two years of experience in training/facilitation/teaching is mandatory
- Prior experience in environmental issues and relevant sustainable solutions is mandatory
- At least one year of experience in project management is preferable
- Prior experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage
- Candidates with volunteering experience in Bhumi or similar organizations preferred
- Any graduate (environmental science is preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Facilitation and training skills
- Good influencing skills, people engagement, networking, and listening skills
- Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
- Good written and verbal communication skills– English
- Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
- Highly resourceful team player, who is self-driven
- Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Willingness to travel – locally and nationally
Other Information:
Scope: Full time
Reporting to: Program Lead, Eco-champs
Remuneration: Rs. 3 – 4 lakhs per annum, negotiable based on candidate’s profile
Expected Joining Date: Immediate
Location: Chennai/Bangalore
Minimum commitment: Two years
