In India, PATH has been working closely with multiple states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Rajasthan, Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, Telangana, providing technical assistance for areas like respiratory care, maternal and child health, nutrition, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, health systems strengthening and digital health.
PATH is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic Program Associate to support the Strategy and program teams. The Program Associate will get an opportunity to operate in a zestful and evolving environment to contribute to a growing portfolio of impactful work in public health. Key responsibilities will be to provide support on activities including, but not limited to knowledge management, assistance in project management, internal coordination, secondary technical research and decks and program strategy documents for the project.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Program Officer, Strategy and drive the state level technical support for public health interventions undertaken by PATH.
- Support in end-to-end proposal development process for new public health opportunities, in alignment with PATH global teams and program teams.
- Help undertake primary / secondary research, landscaping assessment, conceptualization, design and implementation oversight for program interventions and program delivery.
- Undertake data analysis to draw upon programmatic insights and inferences in consultation with program leads.
- Conduct secondary research and landscape analysis for material contributing to the development of concept notes and proposals.
- Create policy briefs.
- Coordinate with state teams to track progress and support required on specific activities.
- Maintain a project tracker and provide regular updates to program leadership.
- Create project reports and program presentations.
- Support the team in coordinating the project management process internally within PATH & external stakeholders.
- Support the team in preparing for meetings internally and externally, including conducting background research on meeting participants and organization focus areas.
- Establish and maintain strong working partnerships with all project partners and stakeholders.
- Deliver any other need-based tasks as requested by the project manager.
- Support training roll-out for several initiatives and undertake field trips wherever required.
Required Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in consulting, program management, coordination, or field implementation
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient at MS Office
- Critical thinking and a logical approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience of managing and delivering on timelines with tight deadlines and across disciplines.
- Proven ability to multi-task and collaborate work effectively with senior staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels.
- Experience in projects that involve liaising with Government institutions and private sector players/corporates/healthcare providers/NGOs.
- Field oriented and a comfortable with a team approach to programming.
- Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills.
