Job Opportunity for Program Head – Pathways to Success at Hi5 Youth Foundation in Mumbai

We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our higher education program ‘Pathways to Success’ and be part of the senior leadership team of the organisation.

About Hi5 Youth Foundation –

Hi 5 Youth Foundation is a high-spirited, professionally run sports-NGO, dedicated to coaching basketball to large numbers of young underprivileged children. At Hi5, we believe that sports is not the medium but the platform for these children to develop improved life-skills, to better their performance, and build strong aspirations to do well in their future. Currently we train 2100 children with our team of 25 coaches across multiple cities.

‘Pathway to Success’ program is an education & counseling support initiative and is an extension to our ‘Hope Thru Hoops’ program. Designed especially for children (ages 16-21 years, sr. children in Hi5’s basketball program) from disadvantaged backgrounds & tribal background – this program aims to provide them with the right guidance and opportunities to complete their higher education and pursue a successful career in life.

Responsibilities and Duties

● Lead and manage a team to deliver our ‘Pathways to Success’ program for senior children

● Program design of key elements of the program to fulfill the program objectives

● Build & implement new facets of the program

● Manage & build partnerships with colleges, schools, institutes to create future pathways

● Relationship management with existing Colleges, Schools, Government stakeholders etc.

● Design reporting systems to keep track of the program at all the centres & levels

● Budgeting for current & coming year & keep track of program expenses

● Lead and grow a robust team to manage the program effectively

Qualifications and Skills

● Post graduate from a good college

● Proficient in English – both written and oral communication. Knowing other languages will be a plus, but not mandatory

● Previous professional experience of minimum 5 years is a must

● Previous experience of managing higher education, counselling, vocational, skill development programs for youth is a plus

● Ability to design and deliver new initiatives

● Must be willing to travel to centres in Mumbai and other cities when required

● Monday to Saturday working (2nd & 4th Saturday is off)

● Location – Mumbai
