## Program Manager – Millets, Livelihoods

 

**Selco Foundation** is an open source, not for profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through clean energy solutions. We work in collaboration with social sector practitioners, energy entrepreneurs, NGOs, and educational institutions to link sustainable energy with poverty eradication.

 

**Location:** Bangalore, Karnataka

**About the Program:**

 

The innovation and scale of climate-smart technologies within the millet value chain program promotes sustainable millet-based livelihoods among rural and underserved communities. The program aims to provide mentorship, technical support, and infrastructure development to millet processing units located in underserved regions.

 

**Objectives of the Program:**

 

* Enhance millet processing capabilities among rural entrepreneurs

* Facilitate technology, clean energy, and finance for decentralized millet processing units

* Foster community-led initiatives for millet-based livelihoods

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* **Operations Leadership & Partnership Management:** Oversee millet program operations, optimize processes, and mentor junior team members.

* **Communication and Coordination:** Build relationships with stakeholders, ensure information flow, and prepare reports.

* **Stakeholder Management & Partnerships:** Cultivate meaningful relationships, engage stakeholders, provide support, and evaluate partnership strategies.

* **Program Planning and Implementation:** Develop and execute program plans, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

* **Monitoring and Evaluation:** Track program progress, conduct assessments, and refine strategies.

 

**Key Requirements:**

 

* Significant experience or interest in millet value chain, post-harvest management, and livelihood development.

* Partnership development experience (government, financial institutions).

* Project and finance management skills.

* Analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Willingness to travel (10-15 days/month).
