We are gearing up to take our program CareerShala to 10,000 young people from under-served communities across India over the next 3 years. We are engaging in an exciting research project with Inclusion Economics India (IEIN) to evaluate the influence of career exploration programs on girls and their aspirations. The person in this role will be spearheading the implementation of our program and liasoning with the researchers to ensure high rigour of operations, student learning and data collection from the ground. Alohomora Education Foundation has made it its mission to enable young people from underserved communities to make interest and strength aligned career choices. Our flagship product CareerShala.co has content with 100+ sector professionals and takes students through a 5 step career-decision making process. We plan to facilitate CareerShala with 10,000 students across India directly and take it to 10L+ students through strategic partnerships. We support the design and implementation of Delhi Government’s Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum and are leading the design of Desh ke Mentor initiative as well taking our learning and philosophy to 7+ lakh students across 1024 schools of Delhi government. Our idea was recognized by World Bank Youth Summit 2016 as top 6 ideas globally for Rethinking Education. We have also been part of incubation programs like N/Core Tech, TFIx, Unltd India and are poised to scale rapidly.

Broad Areas of Responsibility:

This is a dynamic role that will give you an opportunity to work on a joint research project by Alohomora and Inclusion Economics India Centre. You will be leading a team of facilitators to implement CareerShala for 800+ students, managing relations with various stakeholders, and engaging with the community. Your core responsibilities include:

1) Enabling Student Learning:

– Manage a team of 7-10 facilitators working with 800+ students.

– Support facilitators to take online and offline sessions with students, manage WhatsApp groups and personalized space for students as per need.

– Actively solve problems on the field to ensure effective execution of programs.

– Identify stories of success and spread across the student, facilitator and parent community to influence narrative around agency towards career choices.

– Ensure execution of M&E plans and make data backed decisions to improve effectiveness of the program.

– Organize virtual and community based events to amplify student voice, engage with parents and other stakeholders.

2) Learning and Development of Facilitators:

– Support with recruitment and selection process for facilitators.

– Support them to break down goals into action plans while holding purpose clarity.

– Conduct training sessions to ensure peer learning, sharing of best practices and bridge skill gaps with facilitators

– Develop leadership capacity of your team

3) Managing Stakeholder Relationships:

– Manage relations with government, research organization and community stakeholders.

– Manage relations with career professionals volunteering to support our students with their expertise and connect them with students as per need.

4) Documentation and Reporting:

– Gather insights and work with the design team to continuously improve Alohomora’s intervention.

– Collect stories of impact and hope from the student pool

– Support in designing students facing communication over social media

– Support in reporting of program outcomes to funding partners.

What we are looking for:

1. Excitement to work in the education space and work with adolescents & young adults

2. Graduate (in any stream) with at least 2 years of full time experience OR post graduation in relevant fields with a track record of excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.

3. Evidence of initiative in your existing role and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. We want to see if you have the capacity to navigate uncertainty and a dynamic environment to achieve goals.

4. Detail orientation and capability to ensure adherence to processes

5. We want doers in our team. People who are meticulous and can sustain a high level of execution capacity for a long period of time.

6. Good communication/facilitation skills.

Location: Delhi, NCR
Compensation Range: Rs 5L – 7L/ pa. based on relevant skills and experience.
