## Program Manager, Livelihood – Assam

 

**Selco Foundation** is a leading non-profit organization working across India to alleviate poverty through the implementation of sustainable energy solutions. We are driven by the belief that clean energy is a powerful tool for social and economic development, particularly in underserved communities.

 

**We are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager to join our team in Guwahati, Assam.** This role will focus on building an ecosystem for Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) solutions in the Northeast, specifically targeting the enhancement of agricultural production and processing. The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving the livelihoods of small farmers by promoting clean energy interventions.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement a short-term and medium-term strategy to promote improved technology and clean energy interventions in agriculture and related livelihoods with small farmers in the Northeast.

* Build and nurture partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, energy entrepreneurs, and community groups.

* Lead the agriculture vertical of the implementation unit in Guwahati, overseeing project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

* Maintain comprehensive project management information systems (MIS) for effective reporting and analysis.

* Coordinate and collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve shared goals.

* Demonstrate a strong appetite for learning, acquiring new skills, and driving program initiatives.

* Possess entrepreneurial skills to effectively manage and advance program goals.

* Have a deep understanding of agricultural value chains, particularly in the context of agricultural produce.

 

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

 

* Strong understanding of the Northeast region and its context, with a preference for candidates from the Northeast.

* Proficiency in at least one local language of the Northeast States is preferred.

* Excellent documentation, articulation, presentation, and reporting skills.

* Proven experience in working effectively within a team environment.

* Self-driven individual with high professional standards and a commitment to excellence.

* Willingness to travel frequently within the Northeast region.

* 5-8 years of experience in a relevant sector, such as agricultural development, renewable energy, or community development.
