Position Overview:
Adhyayan Foundation has been working with the Directorate of Education (DoE), Goa to build the capacity of 1000+ government officials and school leaders to:
a) review school quality across the state using the Shaala Siddhi framework
b) provide professional development to school leaders
c) use data to monitor the quality of schools, build systemic accountability as well as provide support to schools based on their needs.
An important and additional aspect of school quality that has emerged through the course of this work has been the need to review and provide support related to career awareness outcomes for high school students, in line with the National Education Policy. Hence, in partnership with Antarang Foundation and CII, Goa, the Career Awareness Programme has been added to Goa’s Systemic School Improvement Program.
The Programme Associate will facilitate career exposure visits for students across Goa’s Government schools.
Experience and Qualifications:
● 1 year of experience working in the field of skilling and education focused on schools.
● Experience interacting with school based stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
● Conduct 3-4 exposure visits for 25-27 schools.
● Become deeply familiar with the career readiness framework and how to use it.
● Participate in the debrief of learnings with teachers and facilitate teacher sessions.
● Ensure all data related forms and other trackers are filled in a timely manner.
● Identify best practices.
● Gather feedback from students, teachers and leaders.
Skills and Attitudes:
● Great communication and collaboration skills.
● Enjoys relationship building and working with communities.
● Open to problem solving.
● Ability to ride a two-wheeler and excited about traveling to travel to schools.
● Ability to speak Marathi/ Konkani is required.
● Flexible and open to working in a dynamic environment with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
● Professionalism and ethical standards that ensure timely delivery, discretion and respect for Adhyayan’s organisational culture and code of conduct.
