### **Role Summary**  

The Programme Associate will provide comprehensive technical support to renewable energy (RE) nodal agencies in Odisha. The role involves supporting the development, assessment, and implementation of RE projects, focusing on techno-commercial, financial, and regulatory aspects. Key responsibilities include assisting with bid management, advisory services, and programme strategy while contributing to the growth of RE initiatives in Odisha.

 

 

### **Key Responsibilities**  

– Support the development and assessment of renewable energy technologies and projects in Odisha, emphasizing techno-commercial and financial aspects.

– Conduct project pre-development activities, including feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.

– Assist in project allotment by drafting bidding documents, managing bid processes, and evaluating submitted DPRs.

– Monitor and evaluate progress for projects under various RE policies/schemes/programmes.

– Identify, design, and implement pilot RE projects.

– Provide advisory support to nodal agencies and conduct research to address urgent queries.

– Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of RE schemes.

– Develop presentations and communicate findings to senior management and government officials.

– Stay updated on clean energy technology, policy, and regulatory developments.

– Engage in outreach efforts, stakeholder engagement, and partnerships with government, industry, and civil society.

 

 

### **Qualifications**  

– Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in engineering, renewable energy, power management, or a related field from a reputable institution. A master’s degree is preferred.

– 3 to 4 years of work experience in the RE sector, including roles in advisory/consulting with a focus on bid advisory, project design, implementation, management, and/or techno-commercial assessments.

 

 

### **Competencies**  

– Deep knowledge of clean energy technologies, demonstrated by experience in project design and implementation, bid management, and techno-commercial assessments.

– Ability to quickly learn about new RE technologies and develop required expertise.

– Strong understanding of RE policies, regulations, programmes, and initiatives at national and sub-national levels.

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach.

– Proficiency in project management tools and technical report writing.

– Capacity to build connections and engage with diverse stakeholders on research and policy issues.

– Ability to lead presentations and convene discussions.

– Confidence, collegiality, passion for clean energy growth in India, particularly in the eastern region.

– Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
