**The Industrial Decarbonization Programme:**
The Industrial Decarbonization Programme is part of iFOREST’s flagship initiative on Enabling Energy Transitions. The programme’s objective is to steer a green industry transition to support green growth and green jobs, while improving local environmental conditions and achieving climate goals. The focus is on conducting evidence-based research, including modelling studies to develop comprehensive roadmaps, identify policy solutions, and provide technical support for industrial decarbonization in sectors like fertilizer, bricks, and at-risk MSME sectors.
**The Role:**
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Programme Lead to lead our Industrial Decarbonization Programme. You will be responsible for delivering research and engagement outputs, designing, guiding, and conducting impactful research, and fostering multi-stakeholder engagement with a dedicated team. You will also be expected to identify new areas of work to support institutional goals.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Lead Research Initiatives:** Design comprehensive research plans, assign tasks to the research team, monitor project execution, conduct and guide primary and secondary research, conceptualize and write research documents.
* **Lead Outreach and Communication:** Design and manage a comprehensive outreach strategy, generate policy-research partnerships, author and review communication materials for various audiences, and organize stakeholder events.
* **Contribute to Program Strategy:** Shape the overall program strategy, identify new initiatives and partnerships, support the development of proposals and budgets.
* **Represent iFOREST:** Contribute to brand building by representing the organization on public platforms.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **engineering** (mechanical, industrial, systems, power, or related fields) is required.
* Proven experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or boiler-based industries and efficiency of MSME sectors (food and beverages, textile, chemicals, pharma, etc.).
* **Comprehensive knowledge of industrial decarbonization strategies and technologies**.
* **Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience** in industry (advisory, O&M, design, or consulting).
**Competencies:**
* Strong technical knowledge of industries.
* Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to work with large datasets.
* Ability to undertake technical research and analysis.
* Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports.
* Experience engaging with industry partners, government agencies, and stakeholders.
