JOB TITLE: 

Program Manager- i4We (invest for Wellness) Factories

CORE FUNCTION: 

The Programme manager will implement the Invest for Wellness (i4We) intervention at the allocated industries cluster as per the model design with the highest possible quality standard. The outputs, outcome, and impact are achieved within the specified timeline with quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Overall responsible to implement the i4We program in 25-30 factories and to impact over 7000 workers as per the program design
  • Co-create the program plan with factory management, and coordinate with factories to schedule activities in line with the developed plan
  • Conduct research; baseline, midline, endline studies to measure the program impact
  • Empower factory internal health system to deliver primary health care through; clinic assessment, capacity building for nurse, doctor and welfare officers and ensure they are equipped to deliver primary care (where clinic is present)
  • Identify potential workers and train them as First Responders / Wellness Facilitators with the right knowledge and enhance their skills to impart preventive and promotional education which includes; physical health, emotional health, social determinants and behavioural aspects.
  • Facilitate and provide primary health care services to workers; risk assessment, screening, primary care treatment, actively follow-up, facilitate access to health services from ESIC and / or
  • Government health centers. Also facilitate access to health products and Social Protection schemes.
  • Provide mental health support and refer workers for further treatment and care
  • Sensitize and train supervisors and management (both mid and senior level) staff on the health and wellbeing
  • Provide life skills based preventive health education for workers through a Peer-Peer led approach.
  • Establish network and relationships with Govt and ESIC health system and facilitate referrals for workers to access health services.
  • Facilitate access to services through networks and service providers on well-being services and products.
  • Anticipate and proactively address the implementation challenges and put in place mitigation processes to address the same.
  • Ensure the data quality as per the MEAL guidelines
  • Produce high-quality reports for internal and external consumption
  • Capacity building for the program team on Primary health care protocols and guidelines and quality assurance of screening and treatment.
  • Coordinate with Implementation Agency and monitor the process

REPORTING:  Program core team – Implementation

  • Interacts with the i4We technical and advisory team, i4We leads, thematic leads, people engagement, finance, communication etc (as applicable)
  • Influenced by factories partners, donors (e.g. factory, industries associations, ESIC etc).
  • Influences factories, senior management, health facilitators, government departments, community organizations, health providers etc.

Educational Qualification

Ideally a graduate / post-graduate in Sociology / Social Work / Psychology, Development Studies, Women’s Studies, Public Health streams with in-depth knowledge in public health and worker wellbeing and sectoral experience (factory) and experience of programme implementation. However, a candidate with any degree with public health and project implementation experience is also eligible.
