**Job Description**

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Programme Officer to join our Tech for Conservation team in New Delhi. This role will be instrumental in leveraging remote sensing and GIS technologies to support our conservation efforts. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement remote sensing and GIS-based solutions for various conservation projects.

* Analyze satellite imagery and aerial photographs to identify patterns and trends related to land use change, habitat degradation, and wildlife populations.

* Create maps, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

* Design and implement spatial data management systems for effective data storage, retrieval, and analysis.

* Collaborate with other team members, researchers, and partners to integrate remote sensing and GIS data into conservation planning and decision-making.

* Stay abreast of advancements in remote sensing and GIS technologies and their applications in conservation.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.

* Minimum 3 years of experience working with remote sensing and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine).

* Strong analytical skills and experience in image processing, data analysis, and map creation.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

* Experience in conservation-related projects or research is highly desirable.

* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a plus.
