## Programme Specialist – Agri Business

**Job Location:** Saran District of Bihar, India

 

**Experience Required:** 2-3 years in the development sector with prior experience in working with livestock management.

 

**Job Description:**

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Programme Specialist – Agri Business** to join our team in Saran District of Bihar. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market development, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting functions, particularly in the context of agribusiness. 

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Create and manage a successful and profitable business for farmers.

* Provide support for the functioning of the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) as per the guidelines of the producer company.

* Develop a business development plan for the microenterprises promoted.

* Mobilize resources for the Producer groups and implement the same.

* Ensure an increase in top-line (business turnover) and bottom line (net profit) of the Producer Group.

* Facilitate and strengthen Producer groups.

* Set systems for input procurement and distribution, output aggregation, and training farmers on primary processing such as grading, sorting, and packaging.

* Ensure timely collection of program data and maintenance of the Management Information System (MIS).

* Perform any other responsibilities as deemed necessary for the role.

 

**Skills & Competencies:**

 

* In-depth understanding of market development and related aspects, monitoring, evaluations, and reporting functions, especially in the context of Agribusiness.

* Good training and facilitation skills.

* Excellent liaisoning skills.

* Strong marketing skills.

* Experience in agriculture, marketing, post-harvest management, and capacity building.

* Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Hindi.
