**Job Description**

 

The Programme Specialist (Monitoring and Evaluation) will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking program monitoring, evaluation, research, documentation, and reporting.  Key responsibilities include:

 

* Developing case studies, impact studies, outcome studies/research, and proposals.

* Operationalizing AKRSP(I)’s Management Information System (MIS) to ensure accurate activity data collection, data quality, and reporting.

* Monitoring project implementation and progress towards strategic goals and expected results.

* Communicating project results to various stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and other relevant organizations.

* Coordinating external and internal project assessments and visits.

* Managing internships and studies related to the program.

* Conducting internal monitoring of project activities.

* Performing data analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) to measure project results and provide data-driven insights for project implementation.

* Providing regular data and reports to the head office.

* Representing the organization at various levels.

* Performing other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.  This includes MIS/data analysis and capacity building of the field team.

 

 

**Experience Required:**

 

3-5 years of experience in the development sector, with a preference for experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.

 

**Education:**

 

Master’s degree in rural management/development, social studies, communications, research, or a related field.

 

**Skills and Competencies:**

 

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong reporting and documentation skills.

* Proficiency in data analysis and management.

* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies.
