Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in liaising and networking with various stakeholders, both governmental and nongovernmental during the project execution in coordination with district administration team.
  • Support and organize capacity building, resource mobilization, IEC activities, build partnership and knowledge management programs and required trainings related to project activities for stakeholders in coordination with district administration, particularly oversight the bookkeeping; accounts and having business model approach for sustainable operations.
  • Providing effective administrative and technical support to the district administration in implementing the Plastic Waste Management Programme in the project locations of the district.
  • Coordinating in smooth implementation of project activities ensuring stated deliverables are achieved in accordance with target and SOPs. Assist in monitoring and ensuring authentic data management and MIS at all levels of project activities.
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating in studies and assessments related to plastic waste management. Support the design of an integrated and sustainable model for plastic waste management including forward linkages for plastic recycling.
  • Reporting monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual progress on all project activities. Coordinate daily routine operation of the project.
  • Regular travel to project locations in the district to provide effective hand holding support to district resources.

Required Skills and Experience
 
Education: High School OR Bachelor’s in environment science and social science, rural management, environment engineering or related area.

Experience: A minimum of 4 years post High School OR 1 years of post Bachelor’s experience in working with the Govt. and in multi-stakeholder project with focus in Waste Management,
preferably plastic waste management is required.

• Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills on the impacts from project is essential.

• Good command of Resources Based management tools is essential.

• Desirable: Strong understanding of waste management.
 
IT/computing skills (minimum: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Ability to integrate technology into various aspects of the project for planning, rollout and monitoring.

• Acting as a team player and facilitating teamwork

Domain knowledge of waste and recycling sector would be preferred.

• Experience with applied social empirical research work or business analytics is an asset.

• Tasks require diligence and detail-orientation whilst being solution- and team-oriented.

• Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities;
