We have been implementing CSR projects for a few large CSR companies including IBM, Diageo, Cadila Pharma, Arvind Ltd, Airbus, PNB Housing Finance, and others. We have our programs in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Responsibilities

The Project Co-ordinator will be integral to our ongoing livelihood project partnerships with a few large companies under the CSR ambit. The incumbent will be working on agriculture projects in Nashik. More specific information about the role is outlined as below:

  • Design agriculture and agroforestry projects in villages of Nashik by studying the existing cropping pattern, tree species, farming practices adopted by farmers, current value chain of the farm & agroforestry products, etc.
  • Prepare Detailed Project Reports on the agriculture and agroforestry projects.
  • Consult with various government stakeholders and community members about the feasibility of the projects designed.
  • Do mobilization & outreach among farmers for implementation of the project, with the help of field coordinators.
  • Take necessary steps for the formation and registration of SHGs/ PGs/ FPOs
  • Do rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the agriculture projects through field visits.
  • Facilitate the linkages of SHG/PG/FPO with relevant stakeholders and government departments
  • Design training modules and arrange trainings on concerned agriculture and agroforestry projects.
  • Ensure effective mobilization of farmers, ensure their participation in the training programs, and occasionally visit their farm fields to promote the adoption of training practices by them in alignment with project timelines.
  • Doing quality documentation of project activities, outcomes, and learnings through case studies, periodic progress reports, etc.
  • Manage and support the Project Manager to deliver project activities on the ground
  • Co-operate with the Project Manager during regular review and planning meetings
  • Liasioning with various local stakeholders (PRI members, government officials, private vendors) for implementation of the project
  • Ensure the spending as per the project budget
  • Any other task as assigned by Project Manager

Mandatory Qualification and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 year of working experience in implementing agriculture and agroforestry projects.
  • Resident of Maharashtra
  • Demonstrate knowledge in areas related to preparation of DPR on agriculture & agroforestry projects, sustainable agriculture practices, soil test, crop assessment, farmers collectives, etc.
  • Some experience in dealing with various private and government stakeholders working towards the promotion of farm livelihoods
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership, and work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment as part of a closely-knit team (showcasing patience, tenacity, and grace under pressure)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English, Hindi & Marathi)
  • Post-Graduate degree from any recognized university in Agriculture or Allied Fields
