Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving learning outcomes for all school-going children in India through systemic reform. Established in 2012, CSF focuses on impactful learning at scale. They work across innovation, policy, and practice, with a strong emphasis on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). 

 

CSF collaborates with 11 state governments to design and execute statewide FLN Missions. They prioritize EdTech integration, deploying digital solutions for both in-class and at-home learning. CSF is also deeply committed to Early Childhood Education (ECE) reforms, recognizing its crucial role in laying a strong foundation for children’s learning journey. 

 

**Position Summary**

 

Central Square Foundation is seeking a Project Consultant – EdTech to support the Department of School Education, Himachal Pradesh in adopting and implementing EdTech programs for the K-12 schooling system. This is a 12-month consulting assignment where you will be part of CSF’s EdTech advisory team.

 

You will be responsible for supporting the execution of live projects and helping to launch new ones. This will involve close collaboration with senior and junior officers in the department. You will conduct field visits, analyze data, and develop implementation strategies for specific projects. You will also be involved in monitoring EdTech program effectiveness, planning, and budgeting. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Provide input to the department on planning and budgeting for future EdTech interventions in Himachal Pradesh.

* Support the creation of procurement, allocation, and monitoring processes that maximize the impact of proposed EdTech programs.

* Conduct school visits and consultations with stakeholders to identify gaps and develop practical solutions.

* Analyze data and glean meaningful insights to inform appropriate EdTech program design. This will involve creating best practices for the successful implementation of existing and planned EdTech interventions.

* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior and junior officers, partners, and CSF team members to drive project execution.

* Think through the details of program execution for defined mini-projects to drive overall engagement.

* Support the integration of EdTech into the academic and administrative processes of the education department.

* Create effective presentations and spreadsheets to communicate project findings and recommendations.

* Gather additional information on education and EdTech in the state.

* Participate in problem-solving discussions within CSF, with states, and with EdTech companies.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

* 2-4 years of relevant work experience with managerial responsibilities, demonstrating excellent project delivery and team leadership.

* Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects.

* Exceptional research skills with the ability to analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data, develop solutions, and make recommendations.

* Comfortable working with large-scale data, analyzing it, and reporting according to audience profiles.

* Strong ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships internally and externally with stakeholders such as colleagues, schools, regulators, foundations, researchers, grantees, and education product/service providers.

* Ability to lead meetings, deliver presentations, and represent CSF to external audiences.

* Capacity to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong presentation skills.

* Exceptional execution, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, plan timelines, and meet deadlines.

 

**Optional:**

 

* Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as education, management, economics, social sciences, or public policy.

* Proficiency in English and Hindi (written and spoken).

* Experience with data analytics software like Alteryx or R.

* Skills in data presentation software like Power BI and Tableau.

 

**Compensation:**

 

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend on the candidate’s experience levels.
