We are looking to recruit a Project Controller / Project Manager to join our India Business Unit (BU). In this project management role you will report to our S&E Asia PMO Lead.

This is a role for an experienced Project Controller / Project Manager looking to drive improvements in project financial management structure and processes. ERM is looking for a self-starter, with a “can-do” attitude, a willingness to take onus of project financials and pushing for efficiency on project delivery, and who has demonstrable business and people management skills. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support large project and complex projects in the Region with Project Controls functions.  
  • Developing project plans for projects and proposals, including budgeting estimating, and scheduling in conjunction with the Project Manager (PM).
  • Identification of all tasks to be performed given the scope of the project and the technical, business constraints and risks.
  • Developing Estimate To Complete (ETC) and Estimate At Completion (EAC) for projects at various stages in discussions with Project team members.
  • Performing Variance Analysis and identifying reasons for variances.
  • Timely data gathering, communication and reporting of key project issues. 
  • Discuss the progress of each project with RFOD & Partner about schedule changes and project scope adjustments
  • Cash management of the project including cash flow forecasting for projects and proposals.
  • Consolidate project figures of all entities (worldwide) involved in the project
  • Continually monitor and evaluate each step of a project lifecycle starting from project set up, milestone invoicing, expenditure on projects and project performance. Getting closure of projects done after recovering money from client.
  • Regional and Business Unit-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Participate and lead Project Reviews with Partner, Project Manager and Leadership.
  • Review project Work in Process (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and support project teams with cash recovery.
  • Provides the RFOD & Partners with all necessary financial data and any information of possible consequence. 
  • Develop Project wise tracker to keep track of milestone, work in progress and invoice payments along with issues. Present the details of these reports during group or one-on-one meetings with RFOD.
  • Escalate issues to Partner & RFOD to ensure timelines are met
  • Ability to recognize which areas of project development need to be re-addressed in order to maintain efficiency and cost control. 

The Project Controller will possess the following qualifications and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Accounting/ Finance/ Business
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in similar position in an international project environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of project planning, tracking and control techniques, and tools such as MS Project and Primavera.
  • Ability to read and understand client / subcontractor contracts and identify relevant information.
  • Strong ability with Advanced Excel functions and knowledge of Excel VBA is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI to build dashboards and for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English

  • Demonstrates initiative, assumes responsibility and leads by example.
  • Possesses the highest levels of integrity.
