Roles & Responsibilities:
· Communications
o Identifies and ensures availability of information needed by organizational partners relating to operational research.
o Ensure communication of all programme related events/information with NGOs, Trade Unions, and Student’s Unions.
o Developing ideas and content independently for website, brochures, newsletters, IEC materials, Behavior change communication (BCC) materials.
o Writing content for social media platforms (Facebook & Twitter) in alignment with overall PR activities.
o Drafting the Press Releases, mailing the press releases & follow up.
o Preparing and posting social media content, analyzing the response for further strategic action.
o Ensuring that the website is updated on a daily basis and collect and share the organizational news of the events.
o Improve website information.
o Timely Publication of periodicals, fact finding reports for website, e-communications & awareness raising activities.
o Improve story telling, focus on people.
o Keeping track of policies, discussions, decisions of the State government, in relation to Child rights esp. child labour, child trafficking and child sexual abuse.
o Works with the Manager – Communication to identify additional areas where the organisation can promote and strengthen collaboration.
· Documentation
o Document all inspiring success stories, efforts, challenges and internal & external discussions.
o Making monthly reports and reporting for every major activity or events related to the departments of the organization.
Requirements
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong task management skills and attention to detail; self-driven and results orientated
o Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to motivate, influence, engage.
o Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, experience building and engaging networks to action
o Knowledge and understanding of Children issues, Child rights and development issues at grass roots will be an added advantage.
· Qualification & Experience:
o Any graduate/post-graduate degree in social work, development, sociology or other social sciences.
o 5 – 10 years of relevant professional experience.
o Professional experience running or working in networking, public campaigns and creative agency experience will be considered.
