**About Leadership For Equity (LFE)**

 

Leadership For Skilled Education Foundation (branded as Leadership For Equity, LFE) is a non-profit organization (NGO) based in Pune, Maharashtra. We envision public education systems that refuse to let children down. 

 

Our approach to change involves building the capacity of government system leaders and influencing system processes.  We partner with local and state education bodies to co-create programs that shift teaching-learning practices and improve student learning and well-being. This work, combined with our research and advisory support to influence policies, aims to create an effective government education system.

 

Over the past 5 years, LFE has built the capacity of 2100+ system leaders and 40,200+ teachers, impacting 8 million students across Maharashtra. We’ve also expanded operations to Haryana, Tripura, and Andhra Pradesh. 

 

**About the Program**

 

LFE runs a “District Transformation Project” in 6 districts of Maharashtra, focused on improving learning outcomes for students in Zilla Parishad Schools. We work closely with stakeholders to drive process and policy-level improvements from a systems change perspective. This project is in partnership with the Centre For Learning Resources.

 

**Job Description and Responsibilities**

 

The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in the on-the-ground implementation of the DTP, focusing on teacher and officer development. This position offers a valuable learning experience and opportunities to contribute to meaningful change.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Training and Implementation (60%)**

    * Participate in designing and planning training programs.

    * Facilitate regular training sessions for district, block, and school-level personnel.

    * Conduct classroom observations and provide on-site support to teachers and officers.

    * Collaborate with government stakeholders at ICDS/Blocks, Zilla Parishad, and DIET.

* **Stakeholder Management (20%)**

    * Build strong relationships with government stakeholders and partners.

    * Collaborate with teachers, mentors, and officers for effective project implementation.

    * Act as a liaison with ICDS, Education Departments, and DIET for coordinating activities.

    * Participate actively in regular project meetings and progress reports.

* **Documentation (10%)**

    * Maintain accurate records and data in the data management system.

    * Ensure proper documentation of program activities.

    * Prepare periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.

* **Monitoring & Evaluation (10%)**

    * Conduct data collection efficiently.

    * Support the implementation of evaluation tools.

    * Assist in implementing a robust data collection process for assessments.

    * Support with ongoing project documentation. 

 

**Requirements**

 

* **Education & Experience:**

    * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project execution.

    * Experience working in Maharashtra with government stakeholders is preferred.

    * Experience conducting small training sessions with teachers/Anganwadi Workers.

    * Graduation in any discipline.

    * Knowledge, experience, and certifications in the education domain are preferred. 

* **Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:**

    * Excellent written and oral communication skills. Functional knowledge of Marathi is preferred.

    * Strong facilitation skills for conducting engaging meetings and training sessions.

    * Ability to take initiative and work independently.

    * Belief in the potential of the public sector and its ability to address systemic inequities.

    * Understanding of social equity, development discourse, and education policy in India.

    * Adaptability, resourcefulness, and a high openness to learning and collaboration.

    * Strong presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.

    * Patience and resilience to manage challenges.

 

**Location and Compensation**

 

* **Location:** Pune, Maharashtra.

* **Compensation:** Competitive salary based on non-profit sector benchmarks and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The current compensation band is 3.0 – 3.6 lakh INR per annum CTC.
