LFE has a proven track record, having built the capacity of 2000+ system leaders and 40,200+ teachers, impacting 8.2 million students over the past 5 years.  They have multi-year MoUs with numerous government bodies across several Indian states.

 

**About the Andhra Pradesh Government Project (SALT):**

 

LFE, in collaboration with Mantra4Change, supports the Andhra Pradesh Government’s ambitious plan to transform its government school system. The Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) project focuses on improving teaching and learning quality, enhancing human capital, and reducing learning poverty.  The project works closely with the Department of School Education (DoSE), SCERT, SIEMAT, and DIETs across the state.  The project’s scope includes strengthening the capacity of school leaders, SCERTs, and DIETs to provide effective teacher training and support, and developing online learning materials.

 

**Job Location:** Andhra Pradesh, India (requires frequent travel to rural areas)

 

**Job Description and Responsibilities:**

 

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the on-the-ground implementation of the SALT project, focusing on teacher development and government liaison.  Working closely with the Project Associate and Project Manager, responsibilities include:

 

* Supporting, managing, and coaching a team of 2-5 project associates.

* Implementing teacher training plans, sessions, materials, and handbooks.

* Overseeing the implementation of teacher training courses and sessions.

* Supporting senior associates/program managers and ensuring project outcomes.

* Collaborating with government stakeholders to build capacity and ownership.

* Conducting regular update meetings and providing progress reports to organizational and government leadership.

* Creating project status and impact reports.

* Visiting training sites and classrooms to oversee implementation and inform future plans.

* Participating in organizational team activities.

 

 

**Requirements:**

 

* **Education:** Degree in education/teacher development or related social science/management discipline. A Master’s degree in social work is highly preferred.

* **Experience:** 1-2 years of experience leading large-scale training programs, preferably with the government or government school teachers.  Proven experience managing teacher training projects and delivery is essential.  Experience leading at least 1-2 projects in the government education sector at the state/district level is required. Experience working in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana is preferable.

* **Skills:** Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Telugu (functional knowledge of Telugu is mandatory). Strong facilitation skills for engaging meetings and training sessions with government stakeholders.  Ability to influence people, take initiative, build relationships, and demonstrate patience and resilience.  A belief in the potential of the public sector and its capacity for positive change is essential.

 

 

**Compensation:**

 

A competitive compensation package, at par with non-profit sector benchmarks, will be offered. The annual CTC will range from 3.5 to 4.0 lakh INR, depending on experience and qualifications.
