## Project Coordinator – District Implementation
**About Leadership For Skilled Education Foundation (LFE)**
Leadership For Skilled Education Foundation (branded as Leadership For Equity, LFE) is a non-profit (NGO) dedicated to improving public education systems in India. LFE believes that public education systems are the gatekeepers of social equity, particularly for the 120 million children from underprivileged backgrounds who attend government-run schools.
LFE adopts a two-fold approach to change:
* **Building the capacity of government system leaders:** This involves empowering middle management, including Academic and Administrative Officers (Extension Officers, BEOs, DIETs, SCERT), to effectively lead quality improvement programs and manage their departments.
* **Influencing system processes:** LFE partners with local and state education bodies to co-create programs that shift teaching-learning practices, enhancing student learning and well-being. Research and advisory support influence policies to create effective government education systems.
**Vision:** Public Education Systems That Refuse To Let Children Down
**Approach:** LFE focuses on building system leaders by strengthening middle management. This includes equipping Teacher Mentors (URCs, CRG, BRG, CRCs) to improve teachers’ classroom practices in foundational learning and technology.
**Impact:** Over the past five years, LFE has built the capacity of 2,000+ system leaders and 40,200+ teachers, impacting 8.2 million students. LFE is currently expanding its work into Andhra Pradesh.
