**Job Title:** Project Coordinator (What Works Hub Research Project)

**About the Project:** Pratham Education Foundation and ASER Centre are conducting a three-year research study funded by the What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE).  This study, running from April 2024 to March 2027, aims to understand and improve foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) in Indian classrooms by analyzing existing teaching practices, examining the impact of new initiatives like NIPUN Bharat, and tracking student progress.  The research will involve analyzing existing curriculum, training materials, and assessments; studying teaching-learning delivery structures; understanding teacher mindsets; and conducting classroom observations.

 

**Job Location:** Pratham Office – New Delhi (with frequent travel to Uttar Pradesh and other relevant states)

 

**Job Responsibilities:**

 

* Provide comprehensive planning and implementation support for the project.

* Act as a liaison between state and central teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

* Manage operational logistics, including training sessions, review meetings, and field visits.

* Oversee administrative tasks such as budgeting, reporting, and documentation.

* Monitor project progress, address roadblocks, and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.

* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

 

 

**Required Qualifications and Skills:**

 

* Minimum of a graduate degree; a degree in Education, Sociology, Public Policy, or a relevant social science discipline is preferred. A postgraduate degree is an added advantage.

* At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in project management and coordination.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

* Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi is mandatory. Fluency in other regional languages is a plus.

* Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.

* Ability to multi-task, handle pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

* Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and willingness for extensive field travel, often on short notice.

* Familiarity with rural contexts and willingness to work in a rural setting with basic facilities.

* Commitment to a minimum of two years with the project.
