Job Specification

Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Team Leader, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities of the contractor for SARIC-TNC. This position will support the development and coordination of Stream 1 and 2 and will provide support to all other members of the PMO. The Project Coordinator will support the Working Group and the Team Leader in coordinating all planning and delivery activities. This role will also provide support and coordination in the management of all operations of the program and coordination on the development of all strategies being implemented. This role will ensure that all plans and deliverables are coordinated across the working group, the contractor, third party providers, trainees, and all other individuals and groups involved in the SARIC-TNC program, both internally and externally.

Specifically, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the organisation of program logistics including organising of mobilisation/induction briefings, organisation of accommodation, transport and communications for short and long stay travel, visa and travel documentation, and any stipends. This role will also provide support and coordination in research and analysis activities for the delivery of the program. This position will also support the establishment relationships with key knowledge partners and development of all networks and strategic alliances to be created for the program.

Scope of Work:

The Project Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate all planning and delivery activities with the Working Group, Team Leader, and all other relevant groups
  • Support and coordinate the development of alumni and institutional networks, and knowledge hubs
  • Report to the Team Leader on coordination of all activities and strategies
  • Organisation of mobilisation/induction briefings, organisation of accommodation, transport and communications for short and long stay travel, visa and travel documentation, and any stipends
  • Support and coordination on management of operations for the program
  • Support and coordination in the development of the SARIC-TNC GEDSI Strategy, M&E Strategy, and all other relevant strategies
  • Support and coordination in the design, development, and delivery of Stream 1 and Stream 2
  • Coordination of the development of all networks and relationship building and all third-party providers and relevant third-party players for the delivery of the program
  • Support and coordination in the development and continual review of the Annual Workplan and all related strategies
  • Coordination of all enabling activities
  • Coordination of the design and development of the selection criteria and the selected trainee list
  • Coordination of the development of schedules for delivery and course provider output
  • Coordination of strategic objectives and priorities with the Team Leader and Working Group
  • Support and coordination of the development of all reports for the program
  • Coordination of all administration and financial management activities
  • Research and analysis support and coordination

All other activities related to the successful coordination and delivery of the program and whatever else the Team Leader may reasonably require.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in project coordination
  • Relevant work experience including coordinating planning and delivery activities for training intervention programs and managing operations, and providing support for these programs
  • Extensive experience working in the South Asian region in coordinating skills enhancement projects
  • Existing relationships with knowledge networks, knowledge hubs, and educational institutions and course providers
  • Experience extensively applying technology in the delivery of training intervention programs in South Asia
  • Experience coordinating training intervention programs for women and disadvantaged groups in South Asia
  • Experience in research and analysis on skills gaps in individuals and groups of South Asia
  • Key project coordination, operations management, and research and analysis skills
  • Experience in coordination of the relevant course providers, trainees, and all other relevant individuals or groups.
