About the Organization
Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 3255 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra. It has impacted lives of over 3.5 million people from marginalised sections of society. Over 80% of the households impacted by AKRSP(I)’s work belong to marginalised communities like tribals, dalits, and minorities. Over 60% of beneficiaries are women who form a core group for program interventions.
Job Description
- Designing, planning, assessment, need identification in context of health and nutrition in Netrang region.
- Provide all required support asked by team to implements the activity of Health and Nutrition themes.
- Provide Training and capacity building to the field staff and community.
- Promotion and capacity building of stakeholders and services and facilities of health department.
- Coordinate with other organizations and government departments working on child and maternal health and nutrition of HHs.
- Budget planning, managing and review.
- Conduct need and impact assessment studies and support the team in its replication and scalability.
- Data analysis and documentation of good case studies.
- Monitor the program progress and provide valuable suggestions to the team.
- Any other work assigned by reporting officer.
- Overall coordination of the project implementation.
- Establishing the result-based monitoring indicator in the project
- Block and District level liasioning with the Government department.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- MPH in maternal and child health (minimum 2 years of experience) / masters in social work (3-5 years experience in working with child and maternal health, nutrition hygiene)/ BSc/MSc in nutrition and dietetics (minimum 3 years of Experience on field)
Experience:
- Substantial Experience in relevant field will be given preference, Female candidate will be given preference.
Skills & Competencies required
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills, interested to work with rural tribal community,
- Basic understanding of Planning, Designing and Execution process of development intervention,
- Considerable knowledge about nutrition of children, adolescents and mothers, child and maternal health, Health and hygiene, services and facilities for children, adolescent, and mothers etc.
- Basic Understanding of Data analysis, soft skills and Report writings
- Good managerial skills and have an understanding regarding lesioning with government and donors
