Job Description

The Project coordinator- Trainer will be responsible for providing capacity building trainings that encompass life skills, financial literacy, digital literacy, EDP and Vocational training to trainees and trainers at CRCs (Children Resource Centres) in project intervention area skill building project “ Preventing and eliminating Child labour around Bhalswa landfill site of Delhi with focus on children engaged in waste picking, segregation and sale processes”, to provide a comprehensive solution which will address all three levels of skilling challenges faced by adolescent/youth around the catchment area of project, i.e. Access, Completion of training and Transition to employment/entrepreneurship opportunities in a systemic way by leveraging digital platform/services. The project will be implemented in Delhi covering CRCs in coordination & consultation with DWCD, GNCTD to support 1200 adolescents and youths of whom 60% are girls and women.

Job Responsibilities:

  • S/he will be responsible of managing the CRCs (Children Resource Centers).
  • Responsible for delivering training through digital platforms and with basic training equipment to facilitate training to adolescent and youth in need of care and protection.
  • Design and develop the regular assessments to understand the effectiveness of the training
  • Track individual performance during and after the trainings and conduct refresher sessions on need basis
  • Responsible for digital equipment that facilitates connectivity to ensure digital linkage with CRCs and training equipment and books that facilitate learning and practice to trainees.
  • Responsible to ensure that the respective staffs, training facilitators and a group of young people are trained on using digital platforms.
  • S/he will be responsible for customizing the establishment of digital VET as per the contextual need of CRCs.
  • S/he will be responsible to coordinate with DWCD, GNCTD or its agencies viz. DCPUs & CWCs
  • S/he will help in the need assessment of Adolescents & youths’ skill requirement.
  • Help in mapping the training center and identify the market-oriented trades to be selected, assess the existing capacities of local youth and market feasibility of the identified trade.
  • S/he will be responsible in establishing & equipping digital training platform.
  • S/he will be responsible for Training of CRCs staffs and youths on using digital  equipment.
  • Handholding aspirants at the work place (for a short duration) after placement.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master or Graduate in social work/Life skills/ Management / Human Resources or in any
  • Teaching discipline from a recognized university or college is essential. Weightage will be given to candidates with experience related to women candidate/or anyone having sound knowledge on Child Protection & community mobilization.

Experience

  • Candidate should have at least 2-3 years experience of working with
  • NGO/School/Community/Govt as a Soft Skills Trainer & in the sector of working with children & youth at the grass root level can apply for the post.
