**Job Summary:**

The Project Field Coordinator will work closely with a Program Associate to implement Room to Read’s Foundational Literacy program in Jharkhand, India.  This role involves direct engagement with schools, government officials (PEEOs, CBEOs), teachers, and community members to ensure program objectives are met.  The position requires strong on-the-ground implementation skills, data collection abilities, and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities:**

* On-ground implementation of Room to Read’s literacy program, including interaction with key stakeholders.

* Support teachers and government officials in delivering program activities and innovations.

* Identify and suggest solutions to operational challenges.

* Lead monthly meetings with PEEOs.

* Implement community engagement plans.

* Participate in events, campaigns, meetings, and trainings (virtual and in-person).

* Assist in planning and delivering monthly review meetings, including data provision and documentation.

* Serve as a resource person for teacher training.

* Conduct regular school visits for technical support and data collection.

* Track and report performance on key indicators.

* Document program achievements and outcomes through reports and notes.

* Manage program-related documentation (approvals, letters, etc.).

* Prepare regular reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly) including program data, case studies, and best practices.

* Document on-ground learnings to support internal capacity building.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent.

* 1-3 years of work experience in the development sector.

* Experience with on-ground program implementation.

* Knowledge of Foundational Literacy concepts.

* Experience working with the government in the education sector and teacher training.

* Fluency in Hindi (spoken, written, and reading); basic English communication preferred.

* Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to adapt to changing situations; interpersonal and networking skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
