**Job Title:** Project Field Coordinator, Literacy

**Job Overview:**
The Project Field Coordinator will work closely with a Program Associate to implement Room to Read’s Foundational Literacy program in schools across Jharkhand, India. This role involves direct engagement with schools, government officials (PEEOs, CBEOs), teachers, and community members to ensure program objectives are met. The position reports to the Program Associate.
**Responsibilities:**
* On-ground implementation of Room to Read’s literacy program, including interaction with key stakeholders.
* Collaboration with teachers and government officials to deliver program activities and innovations.
* Identification and communication of operational challenges and proposed solutions.
* Organization and facilitation of monthly meetings with PEEOs.
* Implementation of community engagement plans.
* Participation in events, campaigns, meetings, and trainings (virtual and in-person).
* Assistance in planning and conducting monthly review meetings, including data collection and documentation.
* Provision of technical support and teacher training.
* Regular school visits for technical support, data collection, and monitoring.
* Timely reporting on key performance indicators.
* Documentation of program achievements, outcomes, and best practices.
* Preparation of reports (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent.
* 1-3 years of experience in the development sector, with mandatory experience in on-ground program implementation.
* Knowledge of Foundational Literacy concepts.
* Experience working with the government in the education sector and teacher training.
* Fluency in Hindi (spoken, written, and reading); basic English communication preferred.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, adaptability, interpersonal skills, networking skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
