**Job Overview:**

The Project Field Coordinator will work closely with a Program Associate to implement Room to Read’s Foundational Literacy program in Jharkhand, India.  This role involves engaging with schools, government officials (PEEOs, CBEOs), and other stakeholders to ensure program success and sustainability.  The position reports to the Program Associate.

**Responsibilities:**

* On-ground implementation of Room to Read’s Literacy program, including interaction with key stakeholders.

* Collaboration with teachers and government officials to deliver program activities and innovations.

* Identification and resolution of operational challenges.

* Leading monthly meetings with PEEOs.

* Implementation of community engagement plans.

* Participation in events, campaigns, meetings, and trainings (virtual and in-person).

* Assistance in planning and conducting monthly review meetings, including data collection and documentation.

* Serving as a resource person for teacher training.

* Regular school visits for technical support and data collection.

* Timely reporting on key performance indicators.

* Documentation of program achievements, outcomes, and best practices.

* Preparation of reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly).

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent.

* 1-3 years of experience in the development sector, with mandatory experience in on-ground program implementation.

* Knowledge of Foundational Literacy concepts.

* Experience working with the government in the education sector and teacher training.

* Fluency in Hindi (spoken, written, and reading); basic English communication preferred.

* Strong written and oral communication skills, adaptability, interpersonal skills, networking skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
