The India Schools Team partners with government school systems to improve student learning outcomes by supporting teachers and students in utilizing the Khan Academy platform effectively. **About the Role:**
Khan Academy India seeks a passionate Project Lead consultant to support its program with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools in Mumbai. Reporting to the Senior Program Lead, this role involves driving the implementation of the Khan Academy program in collaboration with the BMC Education Department. The successful candidate will work closely with various Khan Academy teams (Content, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data & Efficacy) to ensure high-quality program implementation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Support program implementation in BMC schools, collaborating with the Senior Program Lead and BMC Education Department officials.
* Take ownership of work streams and deliver on pre-agreed goals.
* Deliver and support training for education officials and teachers.
* Monitor training implementation, identify challenges, and continuously improve the program.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with BMC administrators and school stakeholders.
* Gather data-backed insights to inform program decisions.
* Conduct regular field visits (3-4 per week) to gather insights from schools.
* Document state discussions and keep stakeholders informed.
* Analyze qualitative feedback to improve the program.
* Collaborate with other Khan Academy India teams.
* Provide additional support as needed.
**Experience Required:**
5+ years of relevant work experience. Prior experience as an educator or working with government schools in Maharashtra/BMC/PMC is a significant advantage.
**Qualifications:**
* Fluency in Marathi and English (spoken and written).
* Strong collaborative mindset and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent documentation and presentation skills in English and Marathi.
* Proficiency in working with data, identifying trends, and drawing evidence-based conclusions. Ability to analyze qualitative insights.
* Excellent communication skills across various formats (email, written documents, presentations, verbal conversations).
* Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a high tolerance for ambiguity and a bias toward action.
* Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact.
* Willingness to relocate to Mumbai and travel regularly within the city.
