About the role  

As our projects become more and more ambitious, and the number of stakeholders we reach increases. In our attempt to resolve the complex, multi-faceted and multi-layered nature of our problems, we have to look beyond to keep evolving and improving the system. As the LDP team lead, you will be responsible for curating and creating new project packages with innovative ideas, plans and resources for leadership development of school, cluster, block and other educational actors, especially system leaders. Team lead will also be actively engaged in co-creating plans of action along with different teams, and to identify needs, implementing the pilot project, analysing the impact and design it for scale.

Roles and Responsibilities 

Below are the responsibilities of the LDP team lead, but not limited to: 

  • Identify the needs and develop a strategic project plan for the training of various education leaders aligned to the scope and focus of the program.
  • Create and curate both facilitated and self-learning resources of high quality.
  • Coordinate the implementation of projects during the pilot phase.
  • Lead facilitation of workshops for stakeholders as and when required.
  • Engage in research and discussion practices to develop knowledge and expertise.
  • Create an end to end projects, which includes concept note, project process, M&E, data analysis, project report, impact report etc.

Education & Experience Requirements 

● A Master’s degree is needed, Masters’ degree with a specialisation in education is preferred. 

● Background in Education / Social Sciences / Social Work is preferred.

● 1-2+ Years of work experience in research and documentation in the domain of education. 

● 1-2+ Years of work experience in the domain of educational leadership or working with CRP, BEO, BRC, etc. is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities 

1. Project Development

  • Ability to create end to end projects, which includes concept note, project process, and reporting.
  • Ability to design indicators.
  • Ability to design a monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Design a data collection tool.
  • Design an improvement project.

2.  Research

  • A basic understanding of social equity, development discourse and education policy in India.
  • Ability to do and conduct primary and secondary research.
  • Ability to do citation and copyright writing.

3. Documenting and reporting 

  • Creation of standards and templates that would enable others to create different kinds of solutions and to implement them at scale.
  • Creation and Curation of different assets (Case studies, Tools, Projects, Session plans, Handbooks etc) through various sources.
  • Analyse feedback to continually improve effectiveness of project 

4. Data analysis

  • Ability to do basic/intermediate data analysis in excel efficiently.
  • Ability to draw insightful conclusions from data visuals.
  • Ability to create pivot tables and data visualizations.

5. Strong language 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge in Kannada is preferable but not a must. Any other language is a plus. 
  • Strong ability to create outstanding presentations, work with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Research and varied data sets.

 6. Personality

  • Being able to take initiative and work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment.
  • Strong interest to empower and drive the change in the education system through educational leadership by the system leaders.
  • Ability to influence and motivate people to work towards a common goal.
  • Willingness to learn in the face of uncertainty and difficult situations.
  • Effective planning skills and time-task management.
  • Being able to take initiative and work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment.
  • Adaptability to changing responsibilities and resourcefulness to respond to them.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops or related forums/events, as required by    MANTRA.

Location & Compensation 

Location: Bengaluru, KA. 

Compensation: 3L – 6L per annum based on experience
