**The FLN Mission**

 

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and sets an ambitious target of ensuring all learners in Grade 3 achieve FLN by 2025. The FLN team at CSF is committed to supporting all states in a planned and coordinated effort to achieve this goal. 

 

**Position Summary**

 

As a Project Lead for Strategic Support States, you will play a crucial role in supporting the state government of Gujarat in achieving the FLN mission milestones outlined in NEP 2020. You will engage directly and indirectly with senior political, bureaucratic, and education leadership in the state to ensure alignment, focus, and action towards achieving FLN goals.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Strategic Guidance and Support:**  Provide guidance and support to the state government in implementing the FLN mission, including developing action plans, setting targets, and monitoring progress.

* **Stakeholder Management:**  Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Secretaries, State Project Directors, Directors, Academicians, Consultants, and NGOs.

* **Program Implementation:**  Ensure the activation and implementation of all major workstreams and interventions in consultation with stakeholders, including:

    * **Goal Setting and Communication for Learning:** Implement system assessments and baseline data collection.

    * **Teaching Learning Materials:** Develop and distribute high-quality teaching and learning materials for children and teachers of primary grades.

    * **Capacity Building:** Facilitate capacity building activities for teachers, academic staff, and officers through workshops, learning modules, and training programs.

    * **District Governance:** Strengthen district governance mechanisms and institutional structures for effective implementation.

    * **Monitoring and Evaluation:**  Develop and implement robust monitoring systems and processes to track progress and measure impact.

* **Team Leadership:** Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.

* **Reporting:**  Prepare regular reports for key stakeholders, providing insights into program progress and impact.

 

**Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:**

 

* **Education:** Strong academic background from a reputed institute with a Bachelor’s/Masters degree (preferred) in social sciences, management, or related fields.

* **Experience:**  12+ years of progressive hands-on work experience in a demanding corporate or non-profit setting, leading projects end-to-end, managing diverse teams, and influencing multiple stakeholders. 

* **Social Sector Experience:** Demonstrated experience in implementing successful social sector projects with state governments, showcasing tangible results and outcomes.

* **Stakeholder Management:**  Proven ability to manage diverse and senior stakeholders effectively, including political leaders, government officials, and education specialists.

* **Communication and Influencing Skills:**  Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize technical insights into actionable program agendas and drive collective decision-making.

* **Project Management:**  Excellent people and project delivery skills, including driving execution, managing multiple workstreams, and influencing stakeholders effectively.

* **Entrepreneurial Spirit:**  Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and a hands-on operating style that aligns with working in a dynamic, small organization setting. 

* **Adaptability:**  Demonstrate willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment and travel requirements.

* **Gujarati Language Proficiency:** Basic proficiency in Gujarati reading, writing, and speaking is essential.

 

**Location:** Gandhinagar, Gujarat

 

**Compensation:** Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
